No whining allowed!

As the sky began to turn shades of metallic reds and oranges, the huge flaming ball began to sink into the sea. The event was marred only by the occasional sailboat and the herd of Waikiki tourist boats loaded with romantic, curious, clueless drunks hoping to find their own version of Paradise.
I thought about the six months of toxic and somewhat experimental Chemo therapy I had just gone through and remembered with fondness, the words my doctor had uttered with after the final blood test: "No detectable virus."
Sitting on a bench at San Souci beach with my friends, watching the glorious sunset, life seemed perfect. "It is a good day to live," I thought.
